Tour Our Grounds

There are 154 acres of land at King Memorial Park, which makes it the largest African-American owned and operated cemetery in the United States. It also has the distinction as being the first African American cemetery to construct a mausoleum. We provide African-American families enough land space to inter their loved ones, and celebrate their heritage for well over the next 100 years.

King Memorial Park recently completed a chapel large enough to accommodate 300 people for a funeral or memorial service. This chapel gives families the convenience to hold the service on the same grounds where the burial will take place. The chapel is available to any family who has heritage at King Memorial Park. We are proud to be the first African-American cemetery to construct a five-tier chapel-mausoleum on their grounds.

The chapel features with glass niches to display your loved one beautiful urn. The mausoleum features interior chapel crypts with marble fronts imported from Italy; Stained glass windows, depicting the earth, sea and sky adorn the entrance. The mausoleums and exterior garden crypts are positioned at the highest point of the cemetery overlooking the rolling landscape. “Where Memories are preserved,” is the promise we make to all who choose to entrust the remains of their family to the care at King Memorial Park.
